Responsible for:

Support with the design, development, and delivery of our exciting suite of courses 

We fully expect that your responsibilities will change over time as our business evolves 

As an instructor in the delivery team, you will help to design, develop, and deliver our exciting suite of courses with passion, enthusiasm, and professionalism. 

We will offer you the opportunity to; 

1. Develop your teaching and delivery skills to coach, train and support our learners 

2. Provide mentoring to our learners and 1:1 support as required 

3. Develop your technical skills to deliver a wider range of courses

Duties

Delivery - Imparting knowledge / supporting learners / leading delivery:​ 

  • Leading course delivery in your specialist area  
  • Providing regular proactive one-to-one support to learners on our courses 
  • Engaging with teaching CPD to improve your understanding of best teaching practice and adopting these measures as you develop 
  • Regularly contributing to the improvement of content and delivery of sessions through continuous improvements during your non-teaching time 
  • Engaging with Code Nation systems and processes to contribute to a high-level and successful learning experience (feedback, marking etc) 
  • Attention to detail in following our learner / education processes and recording all interactions with learners on Code Nation systems 

In addition to the main duties above you will also be required to be involved in the following. 

Curriculum:​ 

  • Familiarising yourself with the breadth of curricula in your specialist area 
  • Leading/contributing to adapting, developing, and improving these curricula in line with current industry best practice 
  • Leading/contributing to the development of projects for learners to engage with on courses in your specialist area 
  • Engaging with additional CPD to improve your technical and pedagogical understanding 

Engineering / Innovation:​ 

  • Leading/contributing to internal projects at Code Nation as required 
  • Engaging in additional technical CPD to improve your understanding of industry best practice and skills ​ 
  • You will learn new technologies and transfer any resulting knowledge to Code Nation learners and colleagues​​ 

Networking:​ 

  • Representing Code Nation at Open Evenings and events where applicable 


Skills (e.g. Qualifications)

What we are looking for:

  1. Minimum 1 year Industry experience in your specialist area (Software, Cyber, etc) is essential. 
  2. Experience of delivery in a learning environment is essential. 
  3. A teaching and/or assessment qualification at minimum Level 3 is desirable 
  4. High level technical skills in your specialist area with a commitment to ongoing CPD.
